Cleartest Malaria

The CLEARTEST Malaria Rapid Test is a chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Plasmodium falciparum and the less virulent malaria pathogens (Pan) in human whole blood.

Malaria is one of the most serious and complex health threats to humans. More than two billion people live in malaria-endemic areas and approximately 300 million infections occur each year, resulting in up to three million deaths, according to a World Health Organization (WHO) report. The definitive diagnosis of Plasmodium falciparum (PF) malaria remains based on clinical criteria in conjunction with microscopic examination of whole blood. Microscopy is time-consuming, labor-intensive, expensive, and requires appropriate technical expertise. For professional use only.
