Cardio test

Cleartest Cardio Myoglobin/CK-MB/Trop I

The test for the detection of myoglobin/CK-MB/Trop I in acute coronary syndrome/myocardial infarction.

The CLEARTEST Cardio Myoglobin/CK-MB/Trop I with the 3 cardiac markers myoglobin, CK-MB and troponin I plays a major role in differential diagnostics as an immediate diagnosis close to the patient. The therapeutic measures derived from this can be taken promptly.

This is what the cardiac markers tell us:

  • Myoglobin - V. a. myocardial infarction:
    • Early diagnosis + reinfarction; exclusion of acute myocardial infarction.
  • CK-MB - Myocardial infarction diagnosis:
    • Early diagnosis; monitoring of thrombolytic therapy; prognosis assessment in unstable angina pectoris

Troponin:

Diagnosis + course of acute myocardial infarction; monitoring of success of thrombolytic therapy; prognosis assessment in unstable angina pectoris; diagnosis of small myocardial necroses; V. a. myocardial damage (e.g. perioperative myocardial infarction).

The test is available in packs of 5 or 10 including 50 µl heparinized end to end capillaries.

Store at 2 - 30 °C. Do not freeze.

Evaluation after 10 minutes.

The laboratory parameters of the CLEARTEST Cardio Myoglobin, CK-MB and Troponin I should be determined in any case of suspected myocardial infarction.

Myoglobin is a protein found in the heart and skeletal muscles. Myoglobin increases in the body in 2 to 6 hours after the onset of infarction. However, the myoglobin value can also allow other interpretations as a diagnosis.

CK-MB is found primarily in cardiac muscle and an increase can be expected in 3 to 12 hours after infarct onset. The value also serves as a rough estimate of infarct size.

Cardiac troponin I is a subunit of the protein troponin. It is released in cardiac tissue damage after about 8 hours and remains detectable for up to 10 days.

Cleartest Cardio rapid / Infarct test

Ideal for emergency use, home visits and infarct monitoring.

The new CLEARTEST Cardio rapid detects an infarct after only 20 minutes. This is currently the fastest biomarker with a detection limit of 0.5 ng/ml.

This rapid test detects 2 proteins:

  • hFABP, which is released into the blood very quickly in the event of an infarction (after only 20 minutes), also ideal for reinfarction monitoring on the 4th day.
  • TROPONIN I, which is formed after 8 hours and can be detected for up to 8 days.

Note: Troponin T (manufacturer Roche) detects the infarct only after 3 hours.

Unlike other tests, the CLEARTEST Cardio rapid can be stored at room temperature (the Troponin T test must be transported and stored refrigerated).

The test procedure is very simple:

From whole blood, serum or plasma, only 1 drop is added to the sample field.

Evaluation after exactly 10 minutes.

Storage at room temperature.

Positive result already 20 minutes after infarction.
