This test gives positive results for present infections with different influenza A subtypes, including H1N1 (pathogen of the so-called swine flu), H3N2 and also the avian flu subtypes such as H5N3, H7N3, H9N2 and H5N1 as well as for the B variant.

The CLEARTEST Influenza Rapid Test should be performed as soon as possible after the onset of the typical symptoms of influenza, such as rapidly rising fever with sudden onset of illness, as well as severe sore throat, headache and pain in the limbs. If these symptoms are truly influenza, influenza therapy should be started no later than 48 hours after onset for the therapy to be promising.
